It’s funny that I grew up around guns but have never used more than a paintball gun or airsoft rifle. But many of my characters in my books carry weapons so I think it is past time I learn.

I acted in our Vacation Bible School skit, and it was a lot of fun. Went on to do it for eight more years. Then I gave a talk at our local Cursillo (stands for short course in Christianity, like a retreat weekend, sort of). I used to be one of those people that would quake with fear every time I had to introduce myself and would actually repeat my own name over and over again in my head (as if I would forget it!). I don’t totally feel comfortable with public speaking now, but at least I can do it without puking!
