Wednesday High Tide Flashback
Wednesday, March 6th, 2013This Wednesday it looks like we’re flashing back to just a couple of weeks ago and yet another coming rain/snow/wind/ oh to the noes! storm. So it’s time to gather the wood and charge up all the chargeables because in my neck of the woods once the winds get high you never know what could happen. I tell you Sandy shook me and good.
Here’s to hoping it’s all smooth sailing and low tide where you are. Since I’ve been singing this one since yesterday, (well, since 7th grade really) I thought I’d pass it on to you now. Take us out Blondie. Enjoy.
Best,
KMJ
Feeling Careless…
Tuesday, November 13th, 2012…On this cold Tuesday afternoon, but George’s suit and hair are helping me to focus my thoughts. I’m also writing a whole different script for this video in my head all these years later. Way more fun!
All the best,
KMJ
Who/What Can it Be Now?
Tuesday, July 17th, 2012With dog attacks, kids with ugh, family in health peril, me in car crashes and now lightening striking a tree right between me and my neighbors house, I find myself getting a wee bit paranoid and asking, “what can it be now?”.
To this instead of going totally cray, I’ll leave you with Men At Work and just get back to work.
Enjoy.
Best,
Kwana
Friday Fantasy Flashback
Friday, July 6th, 2012Happy Friday! Today I’m going back to some of the things I used to love: Rye Playland, roller coasters, hip-hop, big hair, bangs, roller skates and a Tom Tom Club cameo hook! Thanks Mariah, though I could have done without the scary clown in this video. I can never get behind scary clowns, way too Stephen King’s IT.
Tell me what’s your favorite part of this flashback video?
Hope you have a great weekend.
Best,
Kwana
Back on the Chain Gang
Thursday, July 21st, 2011DH is off to work and the kids are off to camp. I now have coffee in hand and am about to hit this manuscript with the red pen, again. I’m feeling kinda Chrissie Hynde today.
Hope your time on the chain gang isn’t too hot today.
Best,
Kwana

The Waiting…
Tuesday, March 1st, 2011Lately, in my house with college apps having been out for a while for the dear twins and us having gotten some good and not good news from different places we are all going a bit nutty around here. We’re still waiting to hear from some top choices for both kids. Still stressed over how it will all play out come September and I won’t get into the stress the DH and I feel over how it will work out financially. I’m just living on it will.
To top it off I have a book out on submission that has been out forever but that’s just how it goes in publishing. No news is no news or just a no and you have to move on. But I still can’t help constantly checking my emails. See I’m not one to compartmentalize and put things in the back of my mind. Everything stays right of front talking up too much space.
All that said I woke up with morning and this song popped into my head. Good for a writer and a high school senior. Enjoy.
Best,
Kwana
