Friday, January 14th, 2011Happy Friday! I hope you all are doing great at the end of this snowy week for so many for us. Looking at the piled high drifts of snow and feeling the chill that now seems like it will ever go away I just can’t stop my mind from wandering to some warm far away isle.
I hope you enjoy your day and have a few warm day dreams.
Oh and please join me tomorrow for a little celebration!
Best,
Kwana

First Fall
Tuesday, December 14th, 2010Overnight we had our first snowfall of the season that brought out the plows and gave a covering on the holly tree outside my window. I’m thankful that it wasn’t enough to give a snow day and the twins are off to school today. Though I’m sure they would not say the same.
Have a good one and stay warm where you are.
Best,
Kwana

Wednesday, November 10th, 2010I wonder what he’s thinking? Hmm… maybe about the characters I put on his corner this week? Yeah, I’ve been spending a lot of time in his part of town (at least in my mind I have) or is it a her? Do we know? Something to Google maybe.
Either way today I’m thinking about the conversation a couple of my characters had very close to this lion and all the real life conversations that have happened in the very same spot. If only this lion could talk, oh the stories he would tell.
Hope your week is going well.

Kwana

Tuesday, September 28th, 2010It’s another rainy day with a chill in the air and the leaves loosening their hold on the trees. I think I’ll watch the action from here today.

Thankful
Sunday, August 22nd, 2010I woke up Friday morning from a terrible dream with the words, “Thank you Lord” spilling from my lips before I was even fully awake. I didn’t know why I was saying thank you until much later in the day when a potential tragedy was averted.
I will be even more thankful when my twins are home (I know my week of freedom will be over, yikes). But I will feel better when I can hold them in my arms for the brief moment that they let me.
Life is fleeting and fragile like the wings of a butterfly but also beautiful and at times surprisingly resilient. It’s something to be cherished and we should be thankful for those we love and those who love us.
Happy Sunday.
Best,
Kwana
